Last class we were introduced to a video project. It has to be no less than 30 seconds and no more than 3 minutes. Our group is deciding on doing something like a commercial. We are still bouncing around ideas and haven’t finalized anything. From my video experience, I can say is that the video will take a while. It is hard to get the right shots and what not. In addition to that, there’s going to be a whole editing process. I advise to use a good camera, and try to avoid using dialogues when you are far away from the mike. It would be best to make a video without dialogue because it takes a lot of effort to get in good quality sound. One way to avoid bad voice quality is to get close up shots when the actor is going to speak. This however is going to add breaks to your video and thus more video editing.
